Each department may purchase goods and services in the open market not costing more than $2,000.00. However, Public Works Department and Park and Recreation Department are authorized to purchase goods and services directly related to their respective jurisdictions the amount of which does not exceed $7,500.00 using an informal bidding process.

All other purchases, exceeding $2,000.00, shall be purchased using a formal, competitive bidding process.
